Frequently asked questions
Our team has decades of combined experience in both the logging and dirt-moving industries. Heavy equipment operation is a family tradition going back generations to World War II. Highway construction, water lines, demolition projects, building pads, and logging are just a few of the many jobs across the western United States that we have participated in.
We work relentlessly to ensure that your project will be completed on time and on budget. There are no hidden costs. If your project will require extra work beyond the scope of our original bid, we will work with you to ensure you will be satisfied with the changes. Transparency and honesty are founding principles at Dozer Dynamics LLC.
If we agree to give you a quote, that means we are confident in our ability to complete your project in a timely manner without compromising on quality. If we believe a portion of the work you request from us is not in our expertise, we will work with one of our subcontractors who are qualified to produce the results you are looking for. In the rare case that none of the work you would like completed falls under our expertise, we will gladly direct you to a qualified contractor that we are confident can provide your desired results.

At Dozer Dynamics, we have the tools, equipment, and the experience to do the job quickly and correctly. While some may choose to simply rent the equipment themselves, heavy equipment is no joke. DIY may seem cheaper, and it can be at times. However, if you are asking that question, there is a good chance hiring an experienced contractor will be much cheaper in the long run due to the methods and experience used to get the job done faster. As a matter of fact, we often bid our jobs at a lower price than you could rent the equivalent equipment for! That doesn't include fuel, or more importantly your time! Not only is it cheaper, but state and local governments have certain requirements for installing utilities, how to install roads, reclamation requirements, all of which an experienced excavation contractor knows how to work with and keep you in compliance. Practice makes perfect, and there is no substitute for an operator that has spent thousands of hours mastering a piece of machinery.
Absolutely! We provide free consultations and site visits to fully understand your project before putting together a bid. This way, we can evaluate site conditions, answer your questions, and give you an accurate, transparent estimate—so there are no surprises down the road.
We proudly serve all of Bonner and Boundary Counties, including Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, Naples, Priest River, Clark Fork, Hope, Samuels, and anywhere In between!
Absolutely. While we often partner with general contractors, most of our work starts directly with homeowners. We handle the critical first steps—such as access roads, land clearing, and site preparation—so your project begins on solid ground.
We use a wide range of specialized and versatile equipment to match each project’s needs, including excavators, skid steers, dozers, and scrapers. One example is our Caterpillar 939C track loader—the most efficient and cost-effective machine for moving dirt across tight jobs, allowing us to complete work faster and cheaper than any other contractor.
Project timelines vary depending on the scope, site conditions, and weather. A small driveway improvement might only take a couple of days, while larger excavation or site prep projects can take a week or more. We always provide a clear schedule upfront so you know exactly what to expect.
Because we combine decades of experience with the right equipment for North Idaho’s terrain. Our 939C track loader gives us a unique edge on tight jobs, and we’re committed to honest communication, fair pricing, and work that lasts. Unlike some contractors, we don’t use your project as a training ground—we know what we’re doing, and we develop a clear plan before we ever provide a bid. That means you get efficient, professional work done right the first time.
Yes. We provide complete logging and land clearing services, whether it’s removing select trees, opening up space for a homesite, or clearing larger parcels. We have the right equipment and experience to get it done efficiently and safely.
Yes. In many cases, the value of your timber can offset or even cover the cost of your project. Because we grade and sort logs for the highest-paying buyers—instead of just sending them all to the nearest mill—you can earn up to 20% more for the same amount of timber. That extra value often makes the difference in paying for site prep, road building, or other improvements on your property.
ecause we approach logging with both efficiency and long-term vision. We focus on removing timber in a way that benefits your project while also leaving your land in the best possible condition for future use. Unlike most contractors who simply cut logs and send them straight to the mill, we grade each log and send it to the buyer that pays the most. This can earn you up to 20% more for the same amount of timber compared to other loggers. With the right equipment and years of local experience, we can handle jobs that others might avoid—while getting you the best return possible.
Yes. We stand behind our work with a 1-Hour Guarantee. That means we’ll get started on your project, and if you’re not satisfied within the first hour, we’ll leave—and you won’t owe us a thing. It’s our way of proving that we know what we’re doing and that we value your trust. Not only that, we warranty all work performed that is done to our standards, the length of the warranty will vary based on the type of project, and will be discussed before we start work.
